Duties and Responsibilities
The senior associate will work in financial and consulting services, and will be working with regulated and non-regulated utilities, including telecommunication, electric, solid waste and others. The senior associate will play an instrumental role in client consultations regarding regulatory matters, and will assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and other procedural matters. The senior associate will also work with our audit department and will be responsible for performing financial statement audits. Some travel is required.
The senior associate must possess professional knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, and should have the ability to think analytically, identify potential issues, opportunities, solutions and conduct in-depth research.
The senior associate will have direct contact with clients. Therefore, the senior associate should have strong oral and written communication skills in order to clearly present complex ideas, plans, results and recommendations to clients.
To Qualify
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business discipline and progressing towards earning a CPA license.
- A minimum of two years of public accounting experience in audit and other assurance services or comparable work experience in the telecommunication or utility industry.
- Proven ability to think analytically, identify audit issues, opportunities and solutions.
- Professional knowledge of auditing and accounting standards generally accepted in the United States, and the ability to conduct in-depth research.
